At The Healing Place, what we do is nothing short of amazing… but we don't do it alone.

Behind every one of our success stories - every life that is changed, every family that is healed, and every man and woman who breaks free of chemical addiction through our treatment programs - is a network of concerned and committed donors. Without your care and gifts, we could not provide the assistance we do to so many in Louisville who don't know where to turn.

They need our help, and we need yours.

Whether you are able to give a little or a lot, write a check or simply stop by with an unneeded household item, we thank you sincerely for your donations. They allow us to continue operating, and for people struggling with addiction to find assistance and hope.

Ways To Give (Monetary)

There are many ways to financially support The Healing Place. We are equipped to work with you to help facilitate your donations to The Healing Place.

Cash & Checks: This is the simplest and most effective way to make a financial donation to The Healing Place. We are positioned to set-up a regular contribution plan to our organization from your checking account with a monthly withdrawal.

Credit Cards: You can donate online from our website through PayPal which is a secure payment processing site.

Gifts of Appreciated Assets: Many times our supporters really want to help The Healing Place but they are not sure just how they can donate at the level that they would like to give. Since we are a registered 501 C-3 we can accept gifts of assets that have appreciated over time. These donations can come from stocks, bonds, undeveloped or developed land, houses, automobiles and commercial buildings or other assets that have value. The benefit of these types of gifts is two-fold. One is that the donor will receive a tax deduction and second they will avoid capital gains taxes. Each and every asset will have to be evaluated, but in most instances this option can give the donor the opportunity to support The Healing Place without immediately taking money out of their pocket.

Gifts of Life Insurance: Naming The Healing Place as your life insurance beneficiary can be a wonderful way to help our organization.

Matching Gifts: Under a corporate matching gift program, gifts made by a company's eligible employee to non-profit organizations which meet the company's guidelines are matched with company or corporate foundation funds.

Planned Giving: Depending on your individual circumstances, these plans can increase your income, reduce your taxes, unlock appreciated investments, relieve you of investment worries and ultimately provide very important support.

Remember there are almost as many ways to make a donation as there are needs to be met.

Ways To Give (In-Kind)

Volunteer Opportunities: The Healing Place has many opportunities for people to serve either for occasional volunteers or those that have time to give on a regular basis. These range from special event opportunities or daily administrative work or manual labor.

Food and Clothing: The task of feeding and clothing over 500 men and women a day is daunting to say the least. We welcome in-kind gifts from these categories. In the case of donations of food we will always have to observe health department standards.

Personal Items: All of our clients are in need of personal care items such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc., etc. Please understand that any personal item that contains alcohol can not be accepted i.e. mouthwash.

Blankets, Sheets, Pillowcases, Towels and Washcloths: These items are in use each and every day and after many types of washing begin to fray. Please understand that these donations must be new and still in the package.

Furniture: From time to time we are in need of new and/or used furniture for our facilities. Office furniture as well as furniture that would be used in the home can be of help to our facilities. Before bringing furniture to any of our facilities please take the time to call ahead and so that we can discuss where the most appropriate facility might be for this donation.

Please feel free to contact us at any time to discuss any giving options or to make a cash donation over the phone.
