Anchor
Join us on Sunday, June 23 for Charity Night at The
Village Anchor to benefit The Healing Place. This annual
event will feature live music and great food. The event is
from 5:00-10:00 pm and reservations are encouraged. Visit the

(April 2013) Foyt Family Wine Golf Classic to Benefit
The Healing Place
The Healing Place has again been selected as the charity of
choice for the Annual Foyt Family Winery Golf Classic to be held on
Tuesday, May 21. This event is sponsored by the Indianapolis Colts
and will be held at the historic Brickyard Crossings Golf
Course at the Indianapolis Speedway Track. A limited number
of individual golfers and foursomes are available. Consider being a

Health Care Classic 5K
(update) Thank you UL Medical Students, Executive
Advisory Board, and over 170 runners and walkers for making this
the most successful Classic ever!
(2/18/13) We are very excited to invite you to the 25th
annual Healthcare Classic 5k Walk/Run, organized by University
of Louisville medical students. This year it will be held Saturday,
March 30 at 9:00am at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park.
The awesome thing about this race is that all proceeds will be
donated to the Healing Place, a wonderfully successful and
nationally acclaimed addiction recovery program and homeless
shelter here in Louisville. This unique program completely relies
on charitable donations to sustain its operations- help us keep the
Healing Place going strong by running in this race!
With your registration fee, you are not only registered in the
race, but you also will receive a T-shirt, goody bag, and
refreshments on race day. This race promises to provide runners and
walkers a fun race day, all the while benefiting a wonderful
organization! Early Registration only $15 until March 5.

Join us on March 1 at the Galt House Grand Ballroom for the 2013
Celebrate Freedom Dinner. The speaker will be Pat
O'Brien. Currently a radio host with Fox Sports Radio, Pat
O'Brien is best known for his time as a sportscaster with CBS
Sports, anchor/host of Access Hollywood and The Insider. O'Brien
has covered six Olympic Games in addition to the World Series,
Super Bowl, NBA Finals, and Final Four as a pregame host while at
CBS.

The Healing Place will hold the annual Alumni Block Party on
Saturday, June 16 at the Men's Campus, 1020 W. Market Street, from
10 am - 4 pm. Lunch will be served from 11am - 3 pm.

(3/14/12) Tornado Cleanup in Maryville, IN
The Healing Place had the opportunity to take over 100 clients,
peer mentors, and staff to help with tornado cleanup in Maryville,
IN. It was an amazing opportunity to give back to
others! Special thanks to Choctaw-Kaul for donating the
gloves that were put to good use and the many individuals who
donated water.
(3/6/12) UL Health Care Classic 5K to Benefit The Healing

the 2012 Health Care Classic 5K. Event will be held at

The Healing Place has announced the new Partners For Hope
Initiative to raise $5 Million for the completion of the women's
campus, to bring day-to-day operations up-to-date, and to allow for
expansion of the men's campus at 10th and Market as well as expand

Mark your calendars for the 9th Annual Patriot Game on September
8, 2011 at the Kentucky International Convention Center honoring
the 10th anniversary of 9/11. This annual basketball game
between the Louisville Metro Police and Louisville Fire Departments
benefits The Healing Place. Free basketball clinic led by
Bellarmine Knights Basketball Coach Scotty Davenport for students
in grades 1-8. Doors open at 3:30 for clinic and Patriot Game

attendance. Despite the weather, there was lots of food and
entertainment to fill the day.

The Healing Place won a new Toyota Sienna minivan on
Tuesday, May 31 in the Toyota 100 Cars for Good Program thanks to
your voting on Facebook.
Toyota's 100 Cars for Good program will award 100 vehicles to 100
deserving nonprofit organizations over the course of 100 days based
on votes from the public.

Two weeks after being named a finalist in the Toyotoa 100 Cars for
Good Program, our newest passenger van was damaged by a tractor
